Without our team of volunteers, clients would not receive the vital services they require to maintain their independence and quality of life whilst living in their own home. "I made the best friend in the world here - and I loved it and still do." Graham Zinc, Meals on Wheels Volunteer "I like doing this for other people due to the happiness and companionship we bring." Kerry Hamond, Meals on Wheels Volunteer "I get more back than I give. The people are just so interesting and I always learn from them. They have such interesting stories to tell." Jenny Stiles, Shopping and Transport Volunteer Your centre urgently needs volunteers to help provide:1. Transport/Home Support- Drive clients who are unable to use public transport to medical appointments & shopping. In home reading mail, changing light bulbs, accompaning people to hospital, picking up packages from post office, accompaning shopping and telephone support. 3. Linen- Work with someone to change beds for frail and aged clients who can't do it for themselves. This is a real opportunity to provide a service that brings dignity to the lives of others. 4.
