Volunteers sorely missed

25 September 2020

In response to COVID-19 and the government’s health advice back in March, we sadly had to ask our volunteers aged 70 and over, or with a health issue, to remain at home.

We have missed our volunteers’ friendly faces and their tremendous enthusiasm and drive.

Their absence has increased the workload for remaining volunteers and staff, as we endeavour to maintain vital services, including Meals on Wheels, the Linen service and assisted shopping.

We have been keeping in touch with our amazing volunteers, making sure they are staying healthy and safe, and are now talking to them about the prospects of a return as the COVID risk eases.

In the interim, our heartfelt thanks go to our continuing and new volunteers who have shown great commitment to help keep services running.

If you are interested in volunteering, and are in good health, we would love to hear from you.
